Back in 2012, Queens repper Big Baby Gandhi was on Heems of Das Racist’s Greedhead label. Fittingly, the MC’s latest foray into the web3 space follows his DIY journey into the realms of NYC underground hip hop. As a rapper, BBG possesses a lyrical style that mixes cutting socio-political commentary with supremely braggadocious lines. “I object to the capitalist state / I hate corrupt government, politicians that’s fake / I don’t trust corporations with my tax money,” he vents over the sinister boom-bap of “V For Vendetta.” His first mixtape, Big Fucking Baby, dropped in 2011 to highly positive critical reception. As a result of the attention garnered from his first mixtape, Gandhi signed to Greedhead Music, on which he released his second mixtape, No1 2 Look Up 2, in 2012. Big Baby Gandhi came out of psuedo-retirement in 2017 with his release 27 and has proceeded to drop various singles and loose tracks since. this is the music of a playa slash gangsta slash rapper producer 🤟🏾
