Kush Arora aka Only Now harnesses the project’s origins and evolution on ‘Fate / Will’, deploying expansive modes of drone set against surges of delirious percussion and spells of soundsystem magma. Expanding on the echoes of Hindustani music on the Bokeh Versions release ‘Indian Unclassical Vol. 1’, Arora utilizes traditional instrumentation once again (including bansuri/algoze/chimpta), yet splits the difference with incursions of intensively processed, re-amped harmonium, the Turkish Zurna flute, field recordings and his own vocals. Longtime collaborator Dave Sharma contributes laser sharp duff to "Vengeance II". Arora ends ‘Fate / Will’ with ‘Trance Return’, a long form live piece made for his performance in 2022 at the SF Electronic Music Festival.
