Description
Castrin brings us a vibrant, yet raw, dark, and heavy-hitting two track EP called Nabta Playa. The inspiration of Nabta Playa was sparked after absorbing the sounds and music from his vinyl collection. As he sat and carefully listened to each record he’d reminisce on the times he had at underground raves and concerts prior to the shut down. After thinking about sounds, breaks, and build ups he’d love to hear on a sound system he decided it was time to put his vision to fruition. “The name Nabta Playa came once I was done with the Ep. I learned it was an astronomical place with rocks aligned to stars and solstices where people from different parts of Egypt would come together for ceremony. Which is all I want when people play these tracks. To come together and celebrate life” -Castrin
