COP001 enrico elio scollante (f.k.a. Enry) - "COP001". first release on copycats. first one under my real name. ----- "COP001" is the first of a series of 4 EPs made to launch my new online platform project - "copycats" - a new space i made to release all of my music and - hopefully soon - other small artists' music. it's not a proper label, just a platform where good music can find its own little space in the world. this first EP has a distinct "club" feeling and sound, inspired by dance and electro artists such as Kelly Lee Owens, Floating Points and Four Tet, and contaminated with the most experimental sides of electronic music and a little bit of electropop influences all over the place. ----- the release could be free if you want to, but i highly encourage you to support it by buying it and sharing it with anyone, everywhere. supporting small and independent artists and investing in new underground scenes is vital and super important in a time period where alternative and underground music is completely crushed by the absurd politics and unjust payments of streaming services (and by the sloppy, mostly AI music that gets pushed by those). that's why all of the releases on "copycats" will only be available on bandcamp and exceptionally on youtube and here on catalog. do the right thing, and concretely support your favourite music. thank you for doing it. -enrico elio scollante ------------------------------------- all 4 tracks written, produced and mixed by Enrico Elio Scollante. track 2 contains samples from: - Psyche - Massive Attack (From "Heligoland", 2010, Virgin Records): Vocals - Whiteout - Warpaint (From "Heads Up", 2016, Rough Trade): Drums track 3 contains samples from: - Vocoder [Club Mix] - Floating Points (From "Cascade", 2024, Ninja Tune): Synth, Sound FX - Deep Burnt - Pépé Bradock (From "Burning", 1999, Kif Recordings): Drums - Sega Dreamcast Startup Sound - Ryuichi Sakamoto (1999): Pad, Sound FX - Sega Dreamcast Menu Sounds (1999): Sound FX vocals on track 3 are performed by Bones.
