Hi! I’m Esty and I co-wrote my new and second NFT “pegao!!!” with producer, The Idiot.
I wanted to write something that visually and lyrically announced me making space in an industry I used to think had no space for me. Make that space for yourself where there is none!
This song was born out of our 3rd session together and I remember coming in and sharing the voice memo idea I had while driving to the studio. I was just repeating the “pegaoooo ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ah ayeeee”. The minute I heard the opening beat, I went in to record “Oye Portero, HABRAME LA PUERTA!!”Which means in English, “Listen gatekeeper, OPEN THE DOOR!!”.
Pegao is Spanish for ’stuck’ because this song will be ‘stuck’ in your head!
