Flora MMA

Hi, my name’s Flora MMA. I’m trans, and before I legally changed my name it was Flora, which also happened to be my grandma’s name. I remember as a kid my dad called me floramma, which I think is a telugu (my dad’s native language) term of endearment. I kind of regret changing my name, it’s a beautiful name and it makes me feel connected to my ancestors, so I decided to try to bring the name back through my artist name. While I am trans and I absolutely love being trans, especially being openly trans (even though I’m still scared I’m going to get assaulted every time I go in the bathroom / public space) I don’t want anyone to stick me in the hole of a trans artist. I’m a good artist, and I just happen to be trans.
