When I started making this song, I could feel memories from my childhood seeping out. In my mind I was playing around the street I grew up on. The street is a “cul de sac” in Santa Barbara, CA, a type of street with no outlet – just a little road with houses lining it and a circle at the end for cars to turn around.

My brother, friends, and I would skateboard, scooter, and ride bikes up and down the street. We had lemonade stands at the bottom of it and each year at Halloween hundreds of kids would come up to trick-or-treat.

I was lucky enough to be able to finish working on this song back in my childhood home on that cul de sac. Take a moment to reflect on some of the simpler times as you listen.
