Lucius Arthur

Lucius Arthur is an Inglewood, CA, based musician, producer, and songwriter. From his Inglewood studio, he has written and produced tracks for some of LA’s most influential underground artists. His current project, A Violent Dichotomy, is infused with a blend of his mother’s love of American R&B, his father’s affinity for Brit pop, rock, electronica as well as his unfettered access to music of all genres during the birth of YouTube and online streaming. A Violent Dichotomy addresses the themes of identity, free will, and truth. The alter ego of the Robot symbolizes the question of: Have I organically created myself through free will or I am a creation of a synthetic social media meta consciousness. In an era where truth and fiction are indistinguishable in a sea of online ads, social media, and crumbling institutions-How do I know who I am? What does it mean to be human? What is truth? Are we living in Huxley’s Brave New World?
