Though it wasn't chosen to be amongst the finalist on the official tape, I'm proud of my entry and how i managed to flip the original sample. 
These days my songs can range from 6 minutes to 6 hours (EvolvingPortals)  

Knowing that only 1 minute would be used,  I needed to express my full emotional range in a micro fraction of what I've grown accustomed to.  This was definitely a fun challenge that took me out of my comfort zone. Short songs like this are something you will rarely see from me,  I made sure that it loops perfectly for seamless looped meditation =)

Mechanical Angels is the fifth track from my album Ex Voto - a collection of nine pieces for solo piano, violin, and cello. The title “ex voto” comes from the Latin ex voto suscepto — "from the vow made."  It is an offering given in gratitude for a prayer answered or a wish granted. The music of Ex Voto is more personal and exposed than anything else that I have written. 

Mechanical Angels is a work that I’m always excited and nervous to perform live. It's quick, polyrhythmic, and perpetually building. There is nuance in each repetition that propels the music forward until its unexpected ending. Mechanical Angels has been set for dance by choreographers including Christopher Stuart of the Charlotte Ballet. 

 With this 1/1 NFT you will also be able to receive a ticket to a live concert whenever Mechanical Angles is performed.
