When Arella picked this song, I was kinda surprised because it was one of the demos I had spent the least amount of time writing/mixing. It was created during a weekly songwriting challenge and the theme of that week was ‘Sleepless’.

Ironically enough, I had a rough week and didn’t make any time to work on the track. The night it was due at 4 a.m, I slapped a basic chord progression and drum pattern together and improv’d most of the lyrics. Then played a quick sax solo and submitted just in time.

I have touched it up quite a bit since the OG version and really enjoy how it came together.

The themes of the song are about dealing with procrastination and finding inner motivation to create. This is something that I struggle with quite a bit, and hope you can find pieces that resonate with your journey.

This track, like the previous song, Strut, will only exist on-chain. Owner of this NFT will get access to future presales, collectors chat (once I get it setup) and can decide which song I upload to Catalog next!
